Background:

Mead Vale Community Primary School was opened in 1977, the school shares its spacious grounds with its partner comprehensive, Worle. The modern one-storey bungalow-style school building houses 14 classrooms, with at least one multimedia computer in each and two halls. Extra-curricular clubs include football, netball, French and musical instrument tuition. Pupils compete in sporting events against other school and sports days are held. All pupils participate in invaluable educational visits, and older children can take part in outdoor adventure activities. Links between home and school are greatly valued and the excellent and very supportive parent-teacher association organises social and fundraising events. The school prides itself on the quality of relationships and its calm and happy atmosphere. The school aims to develop every child's abilities and self-esteem in a caring positive atmosphere, which is designed to encourage and support high standards of behaviour and work.
