Background:
Churchstanton Primary School was first established in 1850 when a small school room was built in the grounds of Churchstanton Parish Church. The school'site consists of the old school house, which has been converted into a library, resources room and kitchen downstairs, together with offices and a staff room upstairs. The four classrooms are housed within three prefabricated units, each with independent cloakroom facilities. The school aims to provide a broad and balanced curriculum. It encourages the children to enjoy their PE and the challenge of physical exercise when participating in both competitive and non-competitive sports and activities. The school aims to provide a safe, happy, caring and well-ordered environment in which learning can take place and where each child is valued as an individual.
