Background:

The school was opened in November 1989 when the old Preston Primary School was closed due to insufficient accommodation and relocated on the Abbey Manor Park development. The modern buildings are set in a pleasant location with tarmac playgrounds and a large playing field to the rear of the school. It has a computer network area, a library and an all-weather play area for Early Years children. The school offers a range of activities for both boys and girls, which take place either during lunchtime or after-school. These include: football, netball, rugby, choir, orchestra, recorders, guitar, art, computers, chess, French, rounders and cricket. The school aims to create a happy, secure and stimulating learning environment in which all members of the school community can grow in self-esteem and develop their potential as human beings.
