Background:
East Harptree Church of England VC Primary School was founded in 1653. It is a voluntary controlled Church of England School serving the families of East Harptree and West Harptree. The school is housed in an attractive, late Victorian building, but inside, it has all the educational equipment and resources to be found in the most modern primary school. Music is an important part of the school life and its aim to foster enjoyment and appreciation of all kinds of music. There are sporting clubs where versions of major games are provided. Teams play matches versus other small schools and participate in local tournaments. At present there are recorder groups, environment club, French club, chess club and various sports activities according to the season. The school aims to create an environment that encourages confident and enquiring children to participate fully in the world around them.
