Background:
Sampford Arundel Community Primary School is a small school, situated in idyllic countryside on the Devon and Somerset border just two miles from the centre of the town of Wellington. The school is next to a farm and close to the village Church. The main Victorian building houses one large classroom and a combined office, storeroom and staff room. Two mobile classrooms are sited in the grounds. The school has its own playing field with fixed large apparatus and pergola shading. The school provides a wide range of extra-curricular activities, which includes sporting fixtures and collaborative dance, drama and musical activities with other schools. The school aims to create and use a stimulating environment in which a child feels secure and is able to develop as a whole person.
