Background:
The school has an interesting history, dating back to 1716. It is the oldest and largest primary school in Portishead and has been in the new building since June 1994. The school has all facilities necessary for the education of primary aged children. It has a fully equipped ICT suite as well as access to computers in classrooms and shared activity corners. It has a well-equipped hall for gym as well as extensive grounds for sports activities. The school provides the opportunities for pupils to participate in a wide range of extra-curricular clubs. The range of activities include netball, drama, Italian, poetry, ICT, choir, handchimes, world watch, recorders, chess, football, board games. It also regularly supports a number of charities. The school aims to provide a stimulating and caring environment where children achieve high standards, while developing both independence and concern for others.
